Volume 1: pp [ii], iv, xxxii, 840; frontis, engraved title, 12 steel engravings, some toning to pages, especially on pages opposite plates. Volume 2: pp [vi],840; frontis, engraved titlepage, 21 steel engravings. Overall Very Good with a Good binding. A heavy set which will require additional postage. Although entitled 'The Life of Lord Palmerston', it is very much more a portrayal of the Times of Lord Palmerston and despite being published over 140 years ago, it is still very readable.
