Cinquieme Edition revue & corigée." 5th edition, published in the same year as the true first edition, small 8vo, contemporary full-calf binding, raised bands, gilt-blocked panesl to spine with poppy design, gilt blocked ecclesiastical heraldic device to front and rear boards, small gilt-blocked fleur-de-lys to corners of front and rear boards; shelf wear and rubbing to edges, some loss of leather to extremities of corners, coloured edges, marbled endpapers, very good. pp 348; page heading, cul-de-lampe. A nice tight copy of this edition, which was published by the original printer in the same year as the first edition and can be considered more truthfully as a fifth revised printing of the 1st edition. Bi-lingual juxtaposed Latin and French text.
